Frostbite is a game engine which developed by Electronic Arts Digital Illusions. this game engine was designed for use on Microsoft windows, Playstation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. this engine is exclusive belong to Electronic Arts only. there are 3 version of frostbite version 1.0, V 1.5, V 2. every version have their own features such as SIGGRAPH to make texture shading more fast, MLAA (Morphological Anti-Aliasing) which use to make graphic more sharp, GDC, and GeForce LAN 6. this technology fisrt used to make game Battlefield Bad Company. and now most of the FPS game which developed by EA using this technology such as Battlefield : Bad Company 2, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Need for Speed and Medal of Honor : Warfighter.

Most of the game using Frostbite don't Support Directx 9. and most supported for Directx 10 and 11
so just for windows 7/Vista and Windows 8 that use Directx 11.
